Understanding & Achieving Environmental Compliance
Presented
by Alvin J. Snyder
This presentation looks at the plethora of environmental regulations that affect the workplace and commerce. Major environmental regulations are identified and described in a manner that will help the audience to assess whether or not their facility is affected. A summary of each regulation’s major requirements is presented along with typical applications in the workplace environment. Real life environmental problems and solutions encompassing air, water and subsurface contamination are presented. An action plan for achieving and maintaining environmental compliance is discussed. In addition, the presentation includes a segment on actual and perceived risk, how risk applies to environmental regulations, and examples of hidden personal risk.
Al Snyder is the president and founder of Environmental Resource Associates, Inc., an environmental consulting engineering firm located in Greenville, RI.
