Updates to the ISO 9001:2000, the 2008 Revision

The long awaited revision to ISO 9001 is due for release later this year.  While there are no new requirements, there are changes that have varying impacts on organizations. Come listen to an overview of the impact of the changes from Denise. This presentation will cover the major considerations of the technical writers, what these changes mean for the average user and what the transition requirements will be.

Denise Robitaille is the author of The Corrective Action Handbook, as well as several other books on various quality topics. She is an internationally recognized speaker who brings years of experience in business and industry to her work in the quality profession. In November of 2005, she was recognized in Quality Digest as one of the "Drivers of Quality." Denise is a member of US TAG to ISO/TC176, the committee responsible for updating the ISO 9001 family of standards. She is also a RAB certified lead assessor, an ASQ Certified Quality Auditor, past chair of ASQ Olde Colony and a senior member of ASQ.  As the principal of Robitaille Associates, she has helped numerous companies in diverse fields to achieve ISO 9001 registration and to improve their quality management systems. She has conducted training courses for hundreds of individuals on the topics of corrective action, management review, auditing, document control and implementing ISO 9001.  Denise's books include: The Management Review Handbook, The Preventive Action Handbook, Root Cause Analysis: Basic Tools and Techniques, Document Control and Managing Supplier-Related Processes. She is a columnist for Inside Standards and The Auditor, and is the author of numerous articles.

From the South: Take I-95 N to Exit 29 (Cottage St). Turn left on

Cottage St. then bear right onto Central Ave. at 2nd light (just after the

cemetery entrance), restaurant is about 1/2 mile on the left.

 

From the North: Take I-95 S to Exit 2A (Rte 1A South). Turn right onto

Newport Ave. then proceed till the 3rd light and take a right onto Central

Ave. Restaurant is about 1/4 mile on the right.
